Good morning my beautiful friends! What an absolutely gorgeous day! I have to admit we are having some very warm weather in Southern California. The shade looks really good to me right now. If it is hot where you live, be sure to protect your skin with suntan lotion, and drink plenty of water so you don’t get dehydrated. Sounds like I am being fussy, but I want you to know I care about each and everyone of you.
When Ms. Karen was a little girl, and her family went to Cannon Beach in Oregon for a week, she got a really bad sunburn, so she always makes sure we take precautions with the sun. I told her we should make a sunscreen product that would give really good protection from the sun. Ms. Karen thought that was a great idea. She told Ms. Erin, and she was really excited about the idea too! I will keep you posted on the progress of this venture.
Now for something yummy. Ms. Karen told me about her dear friend from Spain who was a wonderful cook. At one of her dinner parties she served an amazing avocado dessert sauce over sliced bananas and strawberries. At that time, Ms. Karen lived in Fallbrook, California, the avocado capital of the United States and had never heard of an avocado dessert sauce. It was delicious! Her friend gave her the recipe, and Ms. Karen would like to share it with you.
Avocado Dessert Sauce
In a blender add:
1 cup sugar
1 cup milk
Juice from two lemons
4 avocados
Blend until smooth
Serve over fruit (sliced bananas and strawberries) - you can experiment with any fruit of your choice.
